Out and about last week...

I was out networking last week and met a few other companies who were also marketing providers.  One said to me straight up, "Oh... another marketing company".  Once we started talking we realised that we did completely different aspects of Marketing.  This particular company did events and was a full service PR provider, two things that we don't do at Next Marketing.  We also had completely different target audiences amongst other things.

I think that business networks are small places and it is better to know who is out here doing what, whether that is, competitors, companies in different industries etc.....  I am not talking about giving away trade secrets or anything like that, just general business knowledge.  Agree/Disagree?  What do you think?  I am interested in your thoughts.  Drop me a line.

P.S - I will be exhibiting at the Breakthrough Expo next Wednesday, 4th February.  If you would like a free ticket valued at $70, drop me a line, I have 10 to giveaway.

Get better web conversions

Get better web conversions

Are you wondering how to get better conversions on your website shopping cart?  I read an article that suggested that with each click on your website, you lose about 70% of your shopper traffic. When I thought about it, I know myself I often click off sites if there are too many steps, overly complicated etc..... Do you do the same?  How many clicks are there in your website?

The BRW list

The BRW list

Did you know that each week BRW publishes a list of companies in a selected industry?  There is no cost to register your interest with BRW for your company name and details to appear if your particular industry is featured. It seems, though, the only way to get hold of what the upcoming industries are is to read the magazine.  For those of you who arent regular readers, here is a list of the industries that will appear over the coming weeks

  1. Courier companies
  2. Hotels/Services apartments
  3. Debt collectors
