Hi there, How are you? |
|
I can’t believe that November is almost here and silly season has kicked off with Melbourne Cup next Tuesday and Christmas stock already in the shops. I am in a wedding next week, one of my close girlfriends is getting married at Witchmount Winery which recently won best Shiraz of the year. Winning that prize has certainly paid dividends as without it that particular wedding would have been booked somewhere else. Would you also like to build your personal or business profile to win extra customers? I recently decided that I wanted to raise my business profile so put my writing skills to use and by doing so, secured a double page spread in the December/January edition of the Marketing magazine
. Yes, that’s right, many thousands of dollars of advertising space at no cost! Want to do the same? Details below.

Want to get famous or published? |
|
Do you want to build your own or the profile of your business? One of the ways to do this is to get published. When I submit work for review, I always take the time to read the editorial requirements and made sure I submitted each article strictly and according to those requirements. Here is the feedback I received from Kylie Flavell, editor of the Marketing Magazine.
“How refreshing to receive a submission that has a headshot, bio, relevance to our readers and a reference to which part of the publication it could appear in. I receive about 2000 emails a month from marketers, PR agents etc trying to pitch article ideas but hardly anyone makes an extra effort like you.”
The result is a double page spread in the December/January issue of Marketing Magazine. If you would also like to get published, but need some help with writing, drop me a line to see how we could also get you published!

Wasting Your Advertising Dollars? |
|
When I was away on holidays in Port Douglas earlier this year, I picked up a free tourist magazine called Tropical North Queensland Style. Being on holidays I had the time to read the articles and noticed a full-page advertisement for outdoor furniture which caught my eye. The only problem was if I wanted to look at it (I had the time I was on holidays) the closest store was 2 hours away by plane. I could have tried to find a store in Melbourne when I got home but I got too busy with work. Whilst this is a more extreme example of advertising waste, it proves as a good example to check your own advertising spend and really ask the question “Am I getting value for money in my spend?” If you aren’t sure, I would be happy to help out.
