End of Financial Year cheer!

The end of financial year (FY) is nearly here. Aside from making the annual compliance trip to the Accountant, it may also be a good opportunity to congratulate your valued clients for still ‘being in business’ and thank them for their valued support over the past 12 months.

Thinking of sending a end of FY gift?

If so, here are some low cost ideas to spread some end of FY cheer!

• Send a branded cake - this is a great and relatively inexpensive way to make your brand visible to a cross section of staff who work in your clients office. Check out the Fergusson Plarre website for some ideas.
• Organise a Music CD - you can get a good selection of music (legally) online at Magnatune. It is very low cost, can be branded with your logo and the recording artist as well.
• Gift Cards - if your client has a favourite store you may consider getting them a gift card. Card Limbo is a relatively new site where you can pick up discounted gift cards.

Set up a Google Alert

Google Alerts is now my favourite 'free Google tool'.  Do you use it?  Essentially it is a way to be ‘alerted’ when certain words or search terms are used anywhere in the web. You can keep check of your own brand, your competitors, clients etc….

I found it interesting to track the uptake of my interview with marketingmag.com.au.  It was posted on several blogs across the internet and I would have never known if it wasn’t for Google Alerts.

Cartoon me please!

Would you like to use an alternative to your own ‘real life’ photo on your blog or Facebook profile? Or you perhaps need a cartoon image for a team building exercise?
