Hello there

Hello there

How is October treating you?  From my end, I am feeling organised. I have written all of my Marketing Magazine articles for 2010 and are looking for a another well regarded publication to write for. Got any suggestions?

Flying Solo have agreed to keep publishing my work in 2011 and have recently awarded me with the ‘Expert Contributor status’ :)

Best of all, clients are happy.

Social Media Influence - explained

Social Media Influence - explained

I read with interest this article on Fast Company about Social Media influence.

According to the survey, the top contributing factors that make a person or brand influential were all based on quality rather than quantity.

Do you agree? I am interested in your thoughts.

Powerful words

Powerful words

I like words. I enjoy writing. I especially like using powerful words.

Here are some words that I consider to be influential and you may like to use in your brochures, website or other marketing materials.

  • Approved
  • Authentic
  • Delivered
  • Endorsed
  • Exclusive
  • Expert
  • Practical
  • Successful
  • Tested

Need some help with words for your marketing materials? If so, drop a line.

2011 Marketing Campaigns

2011 Marketing Campaigns

Christmas is almost here which means 2011 is just around the corner…

With this in mind, it’s a great time now to start planning your first campaign before you get too busy with end of year drinkies!

Here are some suggestions of things that you could do (or Next Marketing could help you with):

  • Refresh your brand imagery? Is it looking a bit tired? Could it have a spring clean?
  • How about a new business card. A great way to send a personalised note with a welcome to 2011 card in January next year.
  • Start 2011 with a new email marketing program
  • How about launching a new product/service? Do you have a new product or service offer that is suitable for that client? If you don’t have anything new, perhaps you could repackage one of your existing offers and do a mini relaunch?

Like to know what I am planning for Next Marketing in 2011? It’s top secret but I may share…

Retail Trend – private shopping clubs

Retail Trend – private shopping clubs

Last year I bought most of my Christmas gifts online and a significant number of them came from private shopping clubs. Looks like I wasn’t the only one.

Are you a retailer or sell in the online space? This data from Hitwise is worth looking at.
